vietnam day 2! - the Mekong Delta

day 2 was spent in a 1-day tour in the Mekong Delta.. delta is made up from the deposition of suspended sediment the the downstream of a river.. for more info, click here ....

actually juz 1 day is not enough to see the whole delta de.. and actually the tours provided
are all very brief... touch and go.... they say will bring us to Tortoise Island, but we go there only for lunch leh...also nv intri anything abt it to us... how it got it's name etc etc... and also nv tell us anything abt the 3 other islands - Dragon, Phoenix and Unicorn.... we din even get to see how ppl work in the agri fields... thou rice cultivation makes up their major source of income there... anyway,,,, the pics!!!

ermm.... how the hell did the photo come out like tat?? it was upright in my folder lehz... anyway... after hours of long bus ride, we're finally at the river!!

yb got a crush on this ah boy the moment she saw him.. i took a pic of them both but he damn chao bin the moment yb posed in front of him... hehe..

at an orchard!! got longan lehz.. muz be damn sweet coz there's lots of ants!!

these 2 Singaporean girls we met in that same tour... one is already working, the other currently studying medicine abroad, now back for holiday... see (her face) how rocky the sampans are... rowed damn fast...

we're much more composed.... hehe... Smilez!!

ooh!! big fish!!! actually they're a bit tasteless.. im not being picky.. really!! heng they got tasty sauce to go along with... and we supposed to eat them wrapped up in rice paper, with vege and spring onions... it's SGD$9 per fish...not cheap hor...? very touristy.....

the non-japanese group

cooking coconut candy... very nice when it's freshly made!!

japanese tourists!! all of them so fair and tender u see...? all wanna avoid the sunlight on the boat lor...the boat almost flipped away from the sun because all of them wanna be in the shade!!

wad's that i see???

fwah!!!

dinner @ the Original Bodhi Tree. this restaurant was recommended by the Lonely Planet and apparentl it attracted quite a crows of vegetarians... yup.... vegetarians... the food is not bad..the price is good... and they understands english (slightly)!! recommended!
