JuzRide!: melaka trip no. 4

yep, it's the 4th time i was there at Melaka... 1st with NTU odac, 2nd with chelsea's friends, 3rd with the footiees and now juz with yb... oh she was there also when i went the 2nd time...

it was the easter's long weekend so din really wanna be in Singapore with nth much to do... so decided to go melaka, really quite a last min decision... it was set on wed! and we're leaving on fri!

anyway things came up so we can only go off like fri afternoon.. then the usual jam at the malaysian side custom.. by the time we reached Larkin it was already 630pm! ALL counters selling tickets to melaka were sold out!! dammit.. but we weren't ganjiong la.... were already thinking of alternatives.... Simpang... KL... Klang... then we decided to ask this obscure counter... yes they haf!! but it's only departing at 830pm... means we'll reach only abt 11pm..

anyway we've got abt 2 hrs to spare so we propped ourselves into Dunkin Donuts and flipped thru Lonely Planets. i was quite worried that we might not be able to get accomodation esp when we're reaching only that late... with experience in Vietnam, we've decided to call the hotel up to imform them that we're coming in abt 3-4 hr's time, to booked a place, and to leave their doors open for us. they've got one last room left!! though it's a triple room, we took it!! beggers cannot be choosers...

the 1st thing we did after waking up was to head back to the bus terminal to get our sunday tic back to singapore! it was our very 1st worry when we thought abt coming to melaka over easter weekend.. initially wanted to come here on fri morning so that we can safely secure a bus tic back.. but too bad la... we even had our breakfast at the terminal food centre leh... not bad la... i had tai kong bao (space bun)! actually is juz a toasted bun la...haha...

we were slightly over-charged for the tic back, apparently that's the last counter that has tic available (again!!) so we dun haf a choice lor... the rest of the day was mainly spent at Jusco shopping... haah... i bought shirt! DVD! hair gel! and wad else huh.... cannot remember le... surprisingly yb nv buy anything... actually also not very surprising la... she dun always buy things when we go shopping de...

heading back for early dinner! (so that we can haf supper in the night market!)

Hoe Kee! according to a melaka guide book i got from NLB, this is the original chicken rice ball stall originating in the 1950s. there're really quite a no. of other stalls/restaurants selling the same thing. there is another shop which doesn't look as posh but i'l like to try... but in the last 2 times i was here, it was closed! 1st was closed for washing... this time it was closed coz it's only open till after lunch i think...

i've been craving for this when i was in Singapore man!!

ok back to nap b4 the night market..... ZzzZzzZZzzzzzz.........

the place where we had cockles! lala! and liu he ying chai! (kangkong with cuttlefish) very very nice leh....

dimsum by the streets! tried it b4 the last tmie we were here... not that nice actually...

i was quite surprised that we din gorged ourselves to death... usually we would... we returned to rest considerably early and i even got hungry in a couple of hours later... haha... ok la.. better than like tat time went penang.. i came back with a damaged stomach... hehz...

i simply love dinsum from a coffee shop... know why..? coz they're cheap and authentic!! whether anot nice is another thing la... but they cant be extrememly bad lor...
